Like most websites, ShadiSunnah uses cookies and similar technologies to make the Platform work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site so we can improve it. This Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device — your computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit it. The next time you visit that website, it reads the cookie to remember information about you, such as that you are logged in or that you have previously accepted the cookie notice.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot carry viruses. They cannot access other files on your device.
We divide our cookies into four categories based on what they do.
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, submit forms, or make a payment. We do not need your consent to place these cookies because they are technically required for the service you have asked for.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| laravel_session | Identifies your active session and keeps you logged in as you move between pages | Closes when you close your browser |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects all form submissions against cross-site request forgery attacks | Closes when you close your browser |
| cookie_consent | Remembers that you have seen and responded to our cookie notice | 12 months |
These cookies remember choices you make to give you a better experience. They are not essential but make the Platform considerably easier to use.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| remember_parent_* | If you tick "Remember Me" at login, this keeps you logged in between browser sessions | 90 days |
| currency_preference | Remembers your detected or selected currency so we don't recalculate it on every page | 30 days |
ShadiSunnah runs its own internal analytics to understand how families use the Platform — which features are used most, where people get stuck, and how to improve things. We do this entirely in-house.
We do not use Google Analytics. We do not use Facebook Pixel. We do not use TikTok Pixel. We do not use Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any other third-party analytics service. No third-party tracking company ever receives your browsing data from ShadiSunnah.
Our own analytics record anonymised page views, navigation paths, and approximate session duration. No personal identifier is attached to these records.
When you proceed to payment, Stripe — our payment processor — may set cookies on your device as part of their fraud detection and payment security processes. These are outside our direct control and are governed by Stripe's own Privacy and Cookie Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe device fingerprinting for fraud prevention | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe session identifier during checkout | 30 minutes |
We want to be completely transparent:
When you first visit ShadiSunnah, we will show you a cookie notice. You can accept all cookies, or manage your preferences to allow only strictly necessary cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be declined — without them the Platform does not work.
Every major browser allows you to manage, block, and delete cookies. If you block all cookies, you will not be able to log in to ShadiSunnah.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by visiting the Cookie Settings link in the footer of the Platform. Withdrawing consent for functional cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform's core features but you may lose certain conveniences such as staying logged in.
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this Policy and notify you through the Platform. The effective date at the top shows when this Policy was last updated.
